Village Park
When you take your family to visit Village Park in Kannapolis, North Carolina, you’ll be challenged not to have the time of your lives. And you’ll lose that challenge every time!
Village Park spans 16 acres and is about a 30-minute drive from City Wide Exterminating. It features a variety of attractions that make it an excellent destination for the whole family.
Its primary appeal is an outdoor amphitheater, where you’ll enjoy several free summer events – including “Concerts in the Park” and “Movies in the Park.” You’ll have no trouble finding places for family picnics or gatherings during your visit, thanks to the availability of picnic shelters and vast open spaces.
Besides the amphitheater, Village Park boasts the Rotary Express Train – a kid-friendly train ride that chugs around the park – and a large double-decker carousel. Families will also have some fun on the playground or frolic at the Splash Pad, filled with water cannons, geysers, sprinklers, and jets. Everyone can get wet and cool off in a matter of seconds.
Village Park is also connected to several other local parks by the Baker’s Creek Greenway. This 5-mile-long walking trail is perfect for long nature walks or your morning run. Village Park is at the heart of the Greenway, a convenient location in the middle of downtown Kannapolis. This park is also close to the library, the YMCA, and other family attractions.
Even when summer is over and the concerts and activities are at rest, you’ll find plenty to do at Village Park. The playgrounds, picnic shelters, train rides, and carousel are all open year-round.
Kids of all ages will have a blast in this clean, well-maintained park. There is something for everyone at Village Park – and its super-affordable to enjoy an entire family day of fun at any time of the year!
